“Positive Thinking For Every Day Of The Year”
By; Norman Vincent Peale
Psalm 40:3 - And he hath a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
I stopped for lunch with a friend whom I’ve known for many years. This man is really one of the most inspirational men I have ever known. I greeted him by saying “I just met a man who told me it was impossible to be happy anymore.”
“No happiness?” He asked. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a card. This is what it said:
Take Time to Laugh: It is the music of the soul.
Take Time to Play: It is the source of perpetual youth.
Take Time to Pray: It is the greatest power on earth.
Take Time to Love and Be Loved: It is a God-given privilege.
Take Time to be Friendly: It is a road to happiness
Take Time to Give: It is too short a day to be selfish.
I was impressed by this but said to my friend; “There is one thing left out. I’d like to add it, if you don’t mind.”
Take Time for God: It is the way to Life.
LIFE LIFTER: The chief struggle in gaining mental peace is revamping your thinking to the relaxed attitude of acceptance of God’s gift of peace. In every circumstance always look for the good that’s surely present there.
Read Ecclesiastes; Ch. 3, Verses 1 - 8 and think seriously about what this means to you.
On personal consideration, the above devotion and scriptures remind me to keep all my priorities in proper order. Time for God (FIRST), then prayer from the heart (not just words) in all sincerity and honesty. We need to take time for each time on the list to help us get closer to God and in right standing with Him.
God will and can help us to be happier, have peace, and teach us to be obedient to His word. We can change the world for the better when we do things His way. Not ours. Our ways are and have been destroying the world from the very beginning for centuries. It is time we all work to turn things around with God’s guidance and help before it is too late.

Just a reminder the Holy Season is fast approaching.
Keep in mind the reason for the celebrating of the season and that Christ Jesus, is that reason. Even though we can get caught up in all of the secular comings and goings of the holiday period we should all take time and remember that Faith, Hope and Charity along with Christian love makes the world a much better place to be. Give from your heart.
Give God what is due him and the rest will be a blessing.
Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to all.
Love and Prayers to you and yours,
Sister Linda A. Kreeger
